The Series 4000 Super Plossl Eyepiece is designed for observing lunar and planetary detail, resolving globular clusters, picking up small planetary nebulas against a stellar background, etc. It is especially well suited to Schmidt-Cassegrains, where it provides very close to the 1mm exit pupil recommended for maximum sharpness in observing lunar and planetary details. It is parfocal with other Series 4000 eyepieces except the 14mm UWA, 32mm and 40mm SWA, and 40mm and 56mm Plössls. It will work well with any telescope type, at any focal ratio. |
