These Apogee Astro-Vue Binoculars come with Built-In Dark-Sky Nebula Filters that Flip-In or Out with the flick of your thumb at the two thumbwheels, one underneath each ocular. The Nebula Filters increase contrast when viewing emission nebulae, plantary nebulae, and supernova remnants. As opposed to the typical field of view offered by a telescope, binoculars will allow you to take in the entire nebula in one go as the lower magnification compacts the nebula into a smaller view. As many notable nebulae, such as the Rosette Nebula in Monoceros, the North America Nebula in Cygnus, and the Veil Nebula in Cygnus, are too large for the field of view of many telescopes, these Apogee Astro-Vue Binoculars will do the job with an easier view. Eye relief on the oculars is very good and a center focus knob adjusts both oculars, with an independent focus on the right ocular. |
