This radio offers the greater range of General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS)--plus seven channels of Family Radio Service, enabling you to communicate with friends and family who have FRS radios. The PR 1000 features an output of 2 watts on high power for up to a 5-mile range and 0.5 watts on low power. Other radio features include 38 privacy codes, key lock, a backlit LCD display, and a SuperFlex detachable antenna that allows for the use of a mobile antenna.
