The newest member of Antec's quiet, thermally-controlled SmartCool family can detect temperatures anywhere in your case. Where Antec's other case SmartCool Fans are best used as exhaust fans, the Remote can be used as a temperature-controlled intake fan to maximimize quietness and maximimize cooling, as appropriate. Simply install the fan, attach the thermal detector in the area of concern with the provided thermal tape, and plug in the power.- Variable Speed Intake Fan: Put SmartCool Remote in your case's front fan mount and put the thermal detector near your AGP card, by your CPU, at the top of the case where heat builds up, or anywhere you are concerned may be overheating. SmartCool Remote will increase or decrease its speed as needed, maximizing both cooling and quiet.
- Hard Drive Cooling Fan: Put SmartCool Remote in your removable hard drive cage fan mount* and attach the thermal detector to your hard drive casing. SmartCool Remote will be quiet when your hard drive is cool, and will give more cooling as your hard drive heats up with use, helping protect against heat-related performance or data loss.
