This software allows a PC to be connected to the EOS-1V and enables customization and shooting data management. EOS Link Software ES-E1 consists of two software applications and Connecting Cable ES. One application is called "EOS-1V Remote." Itenables the EOS-1V to be customized and it also downloads shooting data from the camera. The other application is called "EOS-1V Memory." This is used to view and edit the downloaded shooting data. Both applications can be installed in a personal computer. Connecting Cable ES connects the remote control terminal of the EOS-1V to the USB port of a compatible personal computer EOS-1V Remote" operations include: Custom Functions: The current Custom Function settings can be viewed or set. The possible settings are the same as those that can beset with the camera itself, but they are fully described on screen. Up to three groups of Custom Functions can also be saved and loaded to the camera. Personal Functions: Up to thirty Personal Functions can be set to further customize the EOS-1V. For example, users can limit the range of metering modes, shooting modes, shutter speeds, and apertures for specialized applications. Other Personal Functions include fine adjustment of otherwise inaccessible camera settings such as AI Servo AF sensitivity, shutter release lag time, etc. that allow photographers to fine-tune camera performance according to their preferences.
